Happy Friday!! I can’t believe it’s the weekend already! I’m not complaining though, because the weekend means daddy is home and I have back-up. 🙂 I thought I would share with you five of my favorite things from this week.
1.) Bedtime Moments
So, Logan is at that age where bedtime is such a struggle and a fight. Every single night he wants me to lay with him. I spend a lot of time with him and then tell him it’s time to go to sleep and leave the room. A little while after that, he then proceeds to call for me. He’s been doing this thing lately where he tells me he can’t find one of the cars he’s taken to bed, which forces me to go in and look for it. He then hugs my neck and asks for more hugs and kisses. Well, I overheard the following conversation between him and Shadrach the other day which made me laugh.
Shadrach had gone into Logan’s room, after Logan called for me to come find his car…
Logan: No Daddy, I wanted Mommy to come!
Logan: Because I hid my car so Mommy would have to come in here and find it!
Haha, I can’t help but laugh because never at any point did I think that he was hiding his cars just so I would come in his room again. He’s only 3 and should not be this smart. It’s scares me that my child is going to outsmart me! HA!
I am absolutely loving this stuff! I have a three-year old little boy who HATES stopping to do anything other than play, let alone go to the bathroom and wash his hands. A few weeks ago we were at the doctor’s office and I noticed they had foaming hand sanitizer, which I never knew existed. I thought that would be the perfect solution to the hand washing battle I faced multiple times a day. I looked everywhere in our small town for the stuff and couldn’t find anything, so I jumped on Amazon and ordered this stuff. It is wonderful. It’s alcohol free and dries pretty quick. It has taken some of the tears and frustrations out of the day.
3.) Hot Tea
Can I just say that I have fallen in love with hot tea during Whole30. I have two different ones that are the perfect pick-me-up in the afternoon and I think I am beginning to love them more than my coffee. (Gasp) I know right? At least more than Whole30 version of coffee. 🙂 They are Bigelow Spice Chai and Tazo Chai Chocolate and they are perfect without any sugar added!
4.) Mom Win
Logan has had no interest in writing or coloring. I’m not sure if that’s a boy thing, but I have been pulling out all the stops trying to get him interested. I’ve had no luck. However, on Sunday, we were at Ollie’s and I found this amazing book, which you can also find here on Amazon. It’s a dry erase book that encourages kids to trace different lines throughout the book. The best part is, since it’s dry erase, I just wipe it off and we can do it over and over again. Logan is loving this book! He keep asking me to do to this book with him. So, in my mind, this was the best $3 spent! It helped him become a little more interested in writing and drawing.
5.) Hurray for a Much-Needed Hair Appointment!
Today I got my hair cut and highlighted for the first time since June. I feel like a whole new woman! I’m not sure why I wait so long, other than the cost involved, but I love how pampered I feel when I go. It could be the two hours or so I get with no child or maybe it’s the fact that someone else is doing something for me. It’s probably both! Either way, this was much-needed. Now I’m ready to conquer the world! 🙂
I would love to hear a favorite moment from your week. I hope you have a great weekend! We can’t wait to go Trick-or-Treating with Logan for the first time!
